Dock Supervisor: Tomah, WI

We are recruiting for a versatile Dock Supervisor in our Tomah, WI Terminal . This position provides the right applicant unlimited career potential. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Work Schedule:

  • 9:00pm-5:00am, may adjust according to freight needs
  • Monday – Friday

The Dock Supervisor will:

  • Supervise and coordinate dock operations and personnel to include load planning, timely departures and 100% freight accuracy
  • Assist local dock personnel with coordinating the following: loading and unloading, FMCSA regulations, manifest approval and deliveries and operation procedures.
  • Complete the freight routing process for next day deliveries
  • Ensure load quality, timely computer data entry and paperwork procedures followed, terminal and freight security and proper freight routing.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Assist in all terminal and employee safety issues and compliance with governmental regulations.

Sutton Transport is seeking an experienced, energetic, driven and results-oriented Director of Safety. This position directs, develops and oversees the general health, safety, policy and procedures of the organization. This position could be located out of our Northlake, Centerville, Milwaukee, Madison or Wausau terminals. 

Core job tasks are:

1. Develop company-wide safety standards for all departments and employees to follow.

2. Promote a positive safety culture with the goal to reduce exposures to work-related injury and preventable accidents

3. Audit all work processes to look for potential safety hazards by physically inspecting work areas and jobsites.

4. Review incident reports to determine where changes need to be made to prevent future similar accidents.

5. Ensure that the company is compliant with all applicable Federal and State safety regulations and company policies are being followed by all employees at all times.

6. Write reports analyzing safety programs and safety compliance company-wide, pointing out potential hazards and areas of improvement.

7. Coordinate with claims adjusters and investigators following workplace incidents.

8. Design safety training programs and presentations for employees and upper management.

Qualifications are:

1. A minimum of 3 years of work as a Director of Safety

IT-Software Developer: Weston, WI and/or Centerville, MN

At Sutton Transport, the IT – Software Developer position will work with a diverse team to develop and support custom software solutions that will help Sutton Transport with their vision to lead with IT. In addition to creating new custom solutions, this position will also need to work to support existing systems within the Sutton Transport environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working at analyzing business requirements to design solutions including self-contained applications, middleware.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating in-house applications leveraging languages and technologies that fit within Sutton Transports footprint
  • Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes and upgrades.
  • Requirements gathering, design and assisting in implementation of technical solutions
  • Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work to aid in the on-going support of applications across business units
  • Collaborating with project team members to test and verify solutions meet business requirements through user acceptance testing
  • Identify areas of risk and implement strategic solutions to mitigate risk

Linehaul Driver CDL A: Drop and Hook, Home Daily: All Locations

The Primary Responsibility of the Linehaul Driver is to move freight from terminal to terminal. The Linehaul position is a no-touch freight position and is guaranteed to be home every day. The Linehaul Driver will operate only 48-53ft dry van trailers.

Missouri Locations: Kansas City, St Louis, Jefferson City, Cape Girardeau, and Springfield. 

Illinois Locations: Highland and Northlake

Forklift Operator:

The Forklift Operator’s main responsibility is to load and unload trailers on the Dock. 95% of the time is spent on the Forklift. This is a cross-dock environment and includes working with a team of other operators.

  • Load and unload trailers
  • Build loads to ready multiple trailers for departure
  • Ensure accurate freight inventory
  • Some manual material handling as needed

Work Schedule:
