The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for:
Payroll:

Responsible for timely, accurate, and compliant weekly payroll processing. Includes multiple variables pay structures and expense reimbursement items.

Register new local tax jurisdictions and process government forms and requests for information.

Maintain knowledge of regulatory guidelines and other wage and hour information that affects payroll processing.

Process and maintain employee Time & Attendance data.

Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
Benefits:

Administer all employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement programs.

Administer and track FMLA and other LOA, in compliance with federal and state laws.

Assist individuals through enrollment and determine eligibility.

Assist employees regarding benefits, claim issues and plan changes.

Respond to benefits inquiries on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes.

Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments and EDI reporting to vendors.
System Management:

Be the lead administrator of HRIS (ADP WFN); update databases with new and changing information; ensure accuracy and integrity of information.

Responsible for employee documents filing and storage retention requirements.

Ensure data accuracy in our HR systems.
General Employee Support:

Act as the primary contact for all payroll and benefit related needs.

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.

Assist employees in learning and navigating online portals.
Required experience includes:
-
A minimum of two years’ experience working in a customer driven capacity

A minimum of one year experience working with payroll and other benefits related knowledge

Preferred knowledge of ADP Payroll system

Strong communication skills, both written and oral

Proven customer service skills including relationship building, dispute resolution, and tact

Problem solving and analytical skills are required

Ability to work independently and adapt to changes in your environment

Proficient skill set with Microsoft Office, including Excel

Must have an attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
