Sutton Transport is seeking an experienced, energetic, driven and results-oriented Field Safety Supervisor. This position reports to the Director of Safety.
Key responsibilities for this position include but, are not limited to the following:
– Duties will include but are not limited to
– Remedial driver training; ono-on-one and in truck
– Conduct classroom training for current driver/dock
– Monitor e-logs for habitual offenses created by poor driving habits
– Must have driving experience
– Conduct annual Hazmat training at our facilities
– Train our drivers on proper pre and post trip inspections
– All around focus on Safety with our drivers, forklift operators and equipment
– Ensure compliance with FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
– Must be willing to travel between our terminals
– Other work-related tasks as assigned by management
Required experience includes:
– Five (5) plus years Class A driving experience
– A minimum of two years of work history as a Safety Supervisor
– Strong communication skills, both written and oral
– Proven people skills including relationship building, dispute resolution, and tact
– Problem solving skills are required
– Ability to work independently and adapt to changes in your environment
– Proficient skill set with Microsoft Office, including Excel and WORD
– Must have an attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
– Self-discipline

To Qualify You Must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Hold a valid Class A CDL
- Driving history with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- HazMat and Tanker endorsement preferred
