Credit Manager – Weston, WI

Sutton Transport is seeking an experienced, energetic, driven and results-oriented Credit Manager responsible for managing the overall credit and collections activities for the organization. This consists of working with all existing active and/or inactive customers having outstanding accounts receivable balances, working to help resolve customer billing problems, reducing accounts receivable delinquency and oversee the lending process. This position reports to the Director of Accounting.

Key responsibilities for this position include but, are not limited to the following:
– Managing and supporting the collections team
– Maintain credit applications
– Research and evaluate customer creditworthiness
– Approve or reject credit based on company standard
– Assignment of customers to collections support team
– Collecting AR dollars on delinquent accounts per our company policies
– Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts
– Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
– Resolving customer billing issues and rescuing customer delinquency issues
– Applying outstanding customer service in adherence with our company culture
– Identifying issues contributing to the delinquencies and reporting them to your manager
– Pull reporting from company systems allowing you to analyze the priorities for the team
– Managing relationships with any 3rd party collections agencies
– Updating customer information within the collections system to allow for accurate billing, document delivery, and collection efforts
– Providing timely follow up with internal and external customers
– Assisting customers with the automated collections solutions we have in place
– Providing documentation to customers per their request including BOLs and PODs
– Generate weekly reports to be delivered to management
– Other work-related tasks as assigned by management

Required experience includes:
– A minimum of two years of work history in supervision or a similar position including interactions directly with a large customer base
– Strong communication skills, both written and oral
– Proven customer service skills including relationship building, dispute resolution, and tact
– Problem solving and analytical skills are required
– Ability to work independently and adapt to changes in your environment
– Proficient skill set with Microsoft Office, including Excel
– Must have an attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
– Self-discipline

Ideal candidates will also possess:
– 3-5 years of experience
– College degree from an accredited bachelors’ program
– McLeod software experience
