Sales Account Representative: St. Louis, MO

We are looking for a dynamic Transportation Sales Account Representative to join our growing team! Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify and prospect potential clients, build and maintain strong relationships, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.

  2. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

  3. Solution Selling: Understand client needs and provide customized transportation solutions. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our LTL services.

  4. Pipeline Management: Manage a robust sales pipeline, track leads, and follow up on opportunities in a timely manner. Utilize CRM tools to organize and prioritize tasks. Prepare and assist with quotes, prepare rates, if needed

  5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of transportation services and exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Sales and Marketing preferred
  • Prefer two years in LTL transportation environment including dry van LTL and Truckload services with a keen understanding of overall freight movement
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Extensive travel required for this position
